I am delighted to present a collection of unframed original art by my former husband, the late John Garbutt Lodge, in support of the EGSI Scholarship Fund established in his memory.
John was many things in his lifetime: pilot, artist, actor, Rolfer®, teacher. He created art during all of what I call his many lives. This collection spans his artistic periods from the 1940's to the early 2000's.
Ida Rolf would have gazed upon some of these pieces when she first met John at a fateful party at his home in Florida more than 50 years ago. Upon seeing his art, she had found her artist to illustrate her ground-breaking book, "Rolfing: The Integration of Human Structures." In John, she also had found a person to train as a Master Rolfer®, and who would go on to become completely dedicated to her work and legacy.
Upon reflection, I have decided that it is time to offer John's art to the world in a way that will honor his dedication to Ida Rolf's legacy, and to the teaching of the Structural Integration 10 Series in particular. Proceeds from the sale of this art will go towards The John Garbutt Lodge Scholarship Fund to assist financially with persons in need of tuition assistance with the EGSI.
Thank you for your support in this endeavor.
